PDP’s “Protect The Future Of Youth Services” Debate 2016

Room 2, Manchester Central Library, St Peter’s Square, Manchester M2 5PD

Monday 25th April 2016, 2:00pm – 4:00pm

Find out how to continue to deliver effective services. Explore the challenges changing the face of youth services in a debate chaired by former Children’s Minister, Tim Loughton MP – Member of Parliament for East Worthing & Shoreham. Meet leading thinker in youth service and personal development innovator, co-founder of youth charity Weston Spirit, Youth Policy Advisor to David Cameron PM and CEO of PDP, Paul Oginsky.

Learn How To Protect Your Provision

1. To access new markets, you need to refine your character development offer. PDP will demonstrate how organisations have or are successfully diversifying and negotiating around the current austerity.

2. Practitioners, policy makers and commissioners of youth services confuse essential and supplementary services. Funding youth work has therefore become a challenge. PDP will provide advice on how youth services can work together more effectively. .

3. We need a conducive marketplace for effective youth provision. To create this, PDP will discuss and develop the idea of clarity and structure around people development, applying our theories to youth services.
