Sianette Owens is Chief Operating Officer for Personal Development Point and has vast experience of designing and delivering personal development training programmes to a variety of clients across the UK.
Originally from Manchester, Sianette studied Community Studies at Liverpool John Moores University where she embarked upon a work experience placement with Weston Spirit and where she first met Paul. After a 12 months ‘Community Gap’ volunteer placement (funded by the Rank Foundation) Sianette joined the Projects Team at Weston Spirit where she delivered national personal development programmes, notably the ‘Reach for the Sky Community Award’ for partner Sky TV.
Sianette went onto manage the Weston Spirit youth work teams in East London and Slough for 5 years before leaving to join Paul at Personal Development Point as Programme Director. Sianette’s first major role was to assist Paul on the development of the National Citizen Service programme for the Government. Sianette was responsible for leading on the pilot programmes and a national youth panel of young people, which fed into the policy group.
Sianette has fifteen years’ experience leading on design and delivery of personal, social and emotional development programmes for young people and adults, with an excellent track record of turning government policies and priorities into real work on the ground.
Sianette is married to John and lives in Chester, she enjoys cooking and eating out, keeps fit by regularly attending circuit and body combat classes. Sianette backpacked around the world for 6 months visiting Asia, South America and Australasia – a highlight was trekking upto Machu Picchu
